Gujarat encounter cops followed Modi and Amit Shah’s policy:-

Jailed DIG DG Vanzara, the man who allegedly carried out successive fake encounters in post-Godhra Gujarat, resigned from the Indian Police Service on Tuesday, accusing the Modi government of betraying its loyal officers "to save its own skin from the CBI" as well as to "gain political benefits". Vanzara's explosive 10-page resignation letter describes the jailed officers as those who carried out the "proactive policy of zero tolerance for terrorism" which was adopted "at the highest level of its (Gujarat's) hierarchy". He targets Gujarat's former junior home minister Amit Shahfor "betrayal and treachery", but also warns CMNarendra Modi that since the loyal officers were not protected, there was no "one-sided obligation" on Vanzara's part to protect the "traitors sitting in the government".

This is the first instance of election-related campus violence this year. Students and faculty members, who did not wish to be named, said the dispute was over outsiders staying at the hostel and that the injured students had complained about it to the administration. The college administration has begun an internal inquiry. Three KMC final-year students, Pawan, Manjeet and Aakash, and an outsider have been arrested, while a hunt is on for the other culprits. DCP (north) Sindhu Pillai said a case was registered for causing hurt, criminal intimidation and wrongful restraint at Maurice Nagar police station. Sensex tanks 651 points to 18,925 on Tuesday

Fears of another war in West Asia, reiteration of asovereign downgrade threat by global ratings major Standard & Poor's, a drastic cut in the country's growth projections for the current fiscal by investment bank Goldman Sachs and a fresh slump in the rupee combined to pull the sensex down by 651 points to 18,925 on Tuesday. The plunge reversed a four-session northward streak.
The rupee fell by 171 paise to close at 67.73 as the dollar gained against other currencies and also because of fears of a US missile attack against Syria and reports of the S&P downgrade. Crude prices too spiked above the $107 per barrel mark, rattled by talks of an attack on Syria, which make both oil and financial markets nervous.
